Administrative Team

David Kimmet

David Kimmet is President and one of the owners of Rehn & Associates. He was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, where he currently resides with his wife and two boys. He graduated from Whitworth College, sum cum laude, with a bachelor degree in organizational management.

David has been with Rehn & Associates since January, 2002. His beginning responsibilities were centered in the development of the firm's Section 125 Cafeteria plans, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and COBRA. Since then, he has become an administrative agent for each of the Taft Hartley Trust clients the firm services. In addition, he remains the point of contact for all new clients and ongoing client relationships.

Malinda Kimmet

Malinda Kimmet, Vice-President, was born and raised in Spokane where she currently resides with her husband and two boys. She has been with Rehn & Associates since 1988 and during her many years at Rehn, she has been involved with all of the administrative duties within the company. Malinda has assisted all of our Taft-Hartley, corporate self-insured plans and COBRA clientele at one time or another and her current responsibilities include the Rehn & Associates' corporate accounting, review of all client financial information provided from Rehn & Associates, managing the administrative staff and overlooking the COBRA department. Malinda is responsible for and performs many other supervisory administrative roles, employee issues, customer service functions, and many company ownership duties.

Jared Pence

Jared Pence, Assistant Vice-President, Benefit Plans, has been with Rehn & Associates since June, 2009. A Washington State University Alumni, Jared has a degree in Finance with minors in both Accounting and Economics. He is the client relations manager for the Flexible Benefits Department which includes Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Premium Only Plans. Jared is responsible for the implementation and maintaining of all FSA and HRA plans as well as attending educational Employee Meetings and Benefits Fairs in conjunction with the plans.

Kirsten Knox

Kristen Knox has been with Rehn & Associates since March, 2006, starting as a Claims Adjudicator and working into her current Leadership Team position. She is the primary contact person for the Trustees and other service Providers should they have any questions or concerns. Kristen attends all Trust meetings, and handles the day-to-day operations of our Taft-Hartley and other Self-Insured clientele. Along with her current administrative duties for Taft-Hartley plans, Kristen oversees the claims processing and adjudication for all self-insured plans. She believes good customer service is the lifeblood of our company and helping customers in an efficient and friendly manner is what sets Rehn & Associates apart from other Third Party Administrators. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys soccer with her daughter and life of fitness and activity!

Karen Brash

Karen Brash, Senior Manager, Self-Insured Plans, joined Rehn & Associates in August of 2010 to help manage the self-insured portion of the company. She is a terrific addition to Rehn & Associates and brings her broad experience and knowledge regarding self-insured health care plans to our firm. Her standard for excellent service and customer care will serve our clients, brokers and participant base very well.
