David Kimmet is the President and CEO of Rehn & Associates. He values Rehn’s staff, fosters a culture of teamwork and has a high expectation of excellence. With over two decades in the Third-Party Administration community, David truly knows what it means to create mutually beneficial relationships with Rehn’s clientele, the broker community and other service providers.
David supports the various teams at Rehn & Associates, and he is involved in the day-to-day operations of the firm. Under his leadership, the Rehn Team has won local and national awards for Innovation and Excellence, and has been recognized for their outstanding service, support and care.
David holds a BA in Organizational Management from Whitworth University, graduating Suma Cum Laude, and is currently working on his CEBS designation. He holds various Board and Committee positions within the Spokane, Washington community, where he was born, raised, and currently lives with his wife, sons and their wives, and grandbaby.
Malinda Kimmet, Vice President, has been with Rehn & Associates since 1988. While at Rehn she has been involved with all of the Administrative duties for our Taft-Hartley, Pension, Self-Insured Healthcare plans, Consumer Driven Healthcare and COBRA clientele.
Malinda’s current duties include all aspects of Rehn & Associates’ corporate accounting needs and a final review of all client financial information. She takes pride in providing excellent service and care for our employees and customers, helping Rehn maintain their stellar reputation.
Malinda was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, where she currently resides with her husband of 30 plus years and enjoys spending time with her two boys and their families. In addition to Rehn & Associates, she is a Director for the Zachary Horton Foundation, volunteers and supports her community through several avenues such as Maddie’s Place and Second Harvest Inland Northwest. She enjoys spending time shopping for vintage treasures, has a passion for physical fitness and experiencing as many of life’s first time adventures as possible.
Kristen Showalter, Assistant Vice President, has been with Rehn & Associates since March, 2006. She started her career at Rehn as a Claims Adjudicator, working her way up through the Claims Department to a Lead position and then joined the Executive Team in 2013. Kristen currently leads the Administration and Claims Department and is the Administrative Agent for Taft-Hartley plans. She is a prominent voice in educating all parties involved on how plans operate by successfully using strategies that allow individuals to think outside of the box. Her professional experience and commitment over nearly two decades in benefit administration enables her to serve as a trusted resource for her clients and in the industry.
Kristen attended Spokane Falls Community College and then continued her education at Bryman College with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding. Born and raised in Cheney, Washington. Kristen’s interests include personal health, physical fitness, and spending time with her three amazing daughters. She and her husband, Benjamin, also enjoy living and working on their family cattle ranch, treasure hunting for antiques, and are avid Seahawk fans.
John Graham has been with Rehn & Associates since 2006. He has been a Lead Developer on many of the custom software solutions that Rehn uses. John is currently the IT Manager and is involved at a detailed level with the on-going software development team and IT support.
John has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona in 1991, graduating Valedictorian. He has worked in software development and system's administration since 1986, initially at Jet Propulsion Lab/NASA as a 5-year intern and then at various companies in the intervening years. He currently resides in Spokane where he has raised his kids and enjoys many outdoor activities.
Karen Brash joined Rehn & Associates in August, 2010. Her primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership and direction for the COBRA administration process within Rehn & Associates, while also serving as a member of the Executive team. This includes working with the other members of the Executive Team and the Team Directors to develop and implement plans and initiatives that support the company's vision and goals.
Karen has significant experience in Third Party Administration, and regularly advises on the many intricacies of this concept. Her expertise in this arena is a great advantage in helping secure confidence in all aspects of our self-insured administration and creates additional connections within our community.
As the COBRA Manager, Karen works on a day-to-day basis ensuring compliance with all relevant COBRA regulations are adhered to, developing and implementing strategies for efficient and effective COBRA administration as well as overseeing staff responsible for COBRA administration and ensuring adequate training and resources are provided. She also works to ensure new business is implemented timely and efficiently.
Karen was born and raised in Cheney, Washington, where she resides with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, working on the family ranch, and educating youth regarding the livestock industry.
